It’s hard to believe, but Italian jewelry house Buccellati has had its home on Oak Street for almost three years now. Though its ornate two-level boutique in the former Esquire Theatre space—with walls covered in Italian silk, hand-carved paneling and a stunning Venetian chandelier—was in great condition, it recently underwent a face-lift to make room for the brand’s new Opera collection and additions to its iconic Hawaii and Macri lines.
But don’t worry: The jewelry cases (with new, top-of-the-line lighting) are still filled with the company’s unique handmade jewels, elegant watches and other high-end, one-of-kind pieces. “Chicagoans have been collecting Buccellati for years,” says Andrea Buccellati, the third-generation president and co-creative director. “We are excited to offer a carefully curated selection to discerning clients with true appreciation for Buccellati designs and craftsmanship.”
